POLITICS IS A SERIOUS ENTERPRISE;STOP THE MEDIOCRITY.

The citizenry are now becoming aware of their core responsibilities of holding the political actors accountable. The intelligence of people have sometime now being played on by the self seeking politicians that are combing around this country.

Politics as a social science should be able to solve the numerous societal problems that the society is bedeviled with but in our case, it’s vice versa. The problems are been compounded by politics through these political vampires. People regard politics as a business to amass themselves with undeserved wealth.

Citizens choose their developmental agents through the ballot with the view to catalyzing and helping drive home the necessary developments, but it normally ends up developing their pockets and families, and sometimes their partners in crime and few sycophants.

This unfortunate attitude of our leaders(politicians) is gradually getting out of control and few people who are able to subject these politicians to a thorough scrutiny are been called names and their lives also threatened.

It’s time the leaders are reminded that leadership is not about sharing of goodies during the judgement day. The very leaders who are to spearhead the developmental agenda are produced by politics so therefore politics should be done by people who are development oriented. The era of giving away coins and 5kg weight of rice to the citizenry as way of meandering through to the leadership positions should end now.

Most of our communities are underdeveloped as a result of placing people with mediocre minds in leadership positions through politics.

The society is therefore advised to continue pushing those people put in the various positions through politics and all the political actors to be accountable. It won’t be bad if the society engages people who have the appetite to developing humanity and society and have exhibited high level of patriotism to massively involve themselves in politics.

Politics is a serious enterprise and it’s the only medium through which our society can develop and sanitize. It won’t be fair to the society if the actors resort to mediocre on the arena of which serious business should thrive and make development easy.
